Tauernradweg cycle path
Krimml is not only the first village in the Salzachtal Valley, it is also the starting point of Tauernradweg cycle path. Cyclists and mountain bikers start in Krimml their bike tour, which takes them along the Salzach River to Passau.

The route
The length of the route of Tauernradweg is 280 kilometres
(Krimml - Bruck - Salzburg - Zell am See/Bruck).
From Krimml (1076 m) to Salzburg (425 m) easy to go slightly downhill, two acclivities (Schwarzach and Werfen).
One alternative is to cycle northwards along the Tauern Cycle Path from Salzburg to Oberndorf. In St. Georgen, the Tauern Cycle Path now becomes the "Oberösterreichischer Natur-Erlebnis-Weg-Inn" and continues on to Passau.
